ARTIST'S BIOGRAPHY

David Fox received his B.A. in English literature from Temple University, and a B.A. in Architecture from the University of Oregon. After a stint as a Peace Corp volunteer on Ethiopia in the 60's, he was an elementary education teacher in the Philadelphia schools for a time. He later went on to Community College of Philadelphia as an Adjunct Faculty member where he taught freehand drawing. Eventually, he became a registered architect in Pennsylvania, specializing in architectural design and production of commercial, institutional and residential buildings.

His love of painting has always been present in his renderings of such collections as the PHILADELPHIA ROWERS mural for the American Red Cross: his paintings at the Philadelphia airport Holiday Inn, Bell of Pa Corporate offices, and the U.S. Health Care Headquarters and Administration buildings in Blue Bell.

He has produced works and publications including the main rendering for Edmund N. Bacon’s “ New Visions for Philadelphia” Exposition; Philadelphia Waterfront for Schultz/ Eagan Architects; 3-D color prints of Boston, Chicago, Philadelphia, New Orleans and D.C. as well as for Lower Manhattan, and St. Louis; and illustrations for “ A Little Miracle” for Tenderfoot Press.
